Today, we’ll present a tubular + good neighbour fencing combo we recently did in Hampstead Gardens, SA.
Our client asked us to replace an old brick wall boundary with fresh new Colorbond fencing in July of 2025.
They got rid of the brick wall themselves and told us when the site was ready for fencing.
Let’s present what we did for them!
Tubular Fence Built In Hampstead Gardens
We started with the front fence to establish the front boundary.
The client requested the following details:
- Tubular batten style fence (aka, blade style)
- 1.5 metres high from the ground
- Black colour
We had difficulty establishing the endpoint of the front fence on the side opposite to where we built the Colorbond.
You can see in the photos that a damaged brick wall acts as the dividing boundary, on which we couldn’t attach the fence.
After a quick discussion with the client, we came to an agreement on the endpoint.
That was probably the biggest challenge. The rest of the build was smooth sailing!

Colorbond Good Neighbour Fence Built In Hampstead Gardens
The Colorbond fence build started shortly after the front fence was posted.
We did it in this order to first establish the front boundary, so that we can easily determine the side fence endpoint.
This fence gave us a lot more trouble than the front fence.
The main issue being active pipes and stormwater drains along the fence line.
Right where we had to install posts, there were pipes running straight through.
We were able to avoid damaging any pipes, and still install all the posts in the right place.
That’s how you know we’re skilled fence builders!
Specifications for this fence were:
- Length = 12 metres
- Height = 1.8 metres
- Trimdek sheets
- Monument colour
- Monument SHS posts in-between
- SHS post at the end for stability
