Post & Rail Fencing

(Our work)

It’s the strongest type of fence to border a home.

Without capping on top, it’s even more secure, as it’s hard for crooks to vault without injuring their hands on the sharp fence sheets. It’s often built using colorbond panels. The main fence frame is steel rails and metal posts.

The sheets are screwed directly into the rails, going all the way across the fence.

On one side, you can see the posts and rails.

But on the other side, you can only see what looks like a long continuous fence panel, which is the side most people prefer to see.

Good Neighbour Fencing

These fences are getting more and more popular in Adelaide.

While post & rail looks like a long continuous sheet, good neighbour fences look like multiple boxed frames. Although they’ve got style, we believe good neighbour fences are weaker than post and rail fences.

There isn’t much sturdiness behind each fence panel as it’s installed differently to post and rail.

(A firm kick can easily pop the sheets out)

Despite this, good neighbour fences are a great option for privacy and visual appeal.

Tubular Fencing

Tubular fencing is a common choice for front-yard fences or secure facilities, like police stations.

The gap between each tubular rod makes it hard for kids, pets, or people to squeeze through, but easy to look through.

You can get tubular fences in a range of styles.

Custom Gates

Custom gates are used on the driveway and the side of the house.

If you’re getting a fence installed down one side of the house, and you want to be able to access the front of the house from that side, getting a gate is your solution. Some people choose to block off the side entry completely, so they won’t need a gate.

Generally, if you want a part of your fence to swing open, you need a gate.

Wood Picket Fencing

Wood picket fences give a classic look to any front yard.

You can get white picket fences or the natural-looking brown wood colour for the pickets. Although it’s getting less and less popular, we believe it’s still a great option for a front yard fence.

Goes up nice and easy too!

Aluminium Slat Fencing

Another great option for a home’s front yard fence.

The panel is often a row of aluminium slats with a slight gap between each row. You can only see through the fence if you walk right up to it, so it’s good for privacy. You can also attach a gate to this style of fence.

They’re also a bit more expensive compared to other fences.

Chain Wire Fencing

You often see these fences bordering schools and general public areas.

It’s not so much for security or privacy, as they can be seen through and jumped over as they’re usually quite short. Places like airports typically get taller chain link fences.

If you’re looking for a more affordable option to perimeter your front yard, chain link is a good choice.

But honestly, there are better options available.

Farm Fencing (Rural Property Fencing)

Got a property in the hills or on some rural land that you need to be bordered?

There are a range of fencing options for rural properties. The most common type is wooden posts with metal wire. It’s usually either chain wire fencing or a full wood fence.

But if you’ve got some specific project in mind for a rural property, reach out to us and see how we can help!
